Context of the project

At the end of the second year of my Bachelor in Game Design and Producing, we were tasked to make a small game in 3 weeks.

Intentions

  • Horror game based on reals myths (wendigo...)

  • Interest the player to the cryptozoology (studies of creatures whom existence has never been proved)

  • Immerse the player inside an open, oppressive and hostile environment

  • Complicated and orientated navigation because of the map structuration (tree, bridges, ford)

  • No marker inside the game, the player is oriented by the clues he finds

  • Various landmarks across the map

  • The narration is told partially by the environment

QA Testing

For this project, we used Coda to establish a test board. We updated it alongside returns and update of the project.

It was mainly Functionality tests, especially ad-hoc tests with many regressive tests

Level Design

I helped the Level Designer of this project by designing one zone of the map: the swamp and by establishing some concepts of landmarks and interesting spots
