
Context of the project
After playing Portal 2 and enjoying it deeply, I decided to use the Level Editor to train myself and make some levels based around mechanics of gameplay.
Intentions

Making two series of levels based on two mechanics : inertia and logic

Having a progression in difficulty

Force the player to have instants of reflexion

Levels are apparently simple but the solution may be difficult to find

Level Design

Levels were built directly inside Portal 2 Level Editor
Inertia mechanic
In these levels, the player has to use the character's speed, mainly her impulse, to accomplish puzzles.
It start really simple, with a tutorial, but in 5 levels, the difficulty increases to reach a medium difficulty.
Logic mechanic
In these levels, the player is put in rooms that may seems simple and has a few elements to interact with.

After many tests, a level was added, level 4, to introduce a mechanic to this series : using buttons to destroy cubes. The Level 4 works as a second tutorial.
